He's definitely the realist of the group as he is the first to suggest what is happening is murder rather than just accidents, but never really goes over the top and doesn't like when people aren't treated with respect. Kenny: Big, tall guy who is best friends with Nathan. However, he's careless, cocky, and very confrontational which leads to a lot of fights among the characters.

Nathan: Tall, skinny kid who is funny and likes to have fun. Doesn't go to school with any of the other characters. Ben: Beach blond hair with dark brown eye brows, Jessica's boyfriend but seems to care more about impressing and being nice to Minnie than staying loyal to Jessica, and he is calming and down to earth. He really likes Meg and does a good job of keeping everyone calm and level headed throughout the story. T.J: T.J is the 'popular' kid and is the star athlete as he has a full scholarship to play football at USC. She used to date Gunner but only to make T.J jeleous who she's secretly in love with. Struggles with bipolar disorder and struggles to control herself when she doesn't take her medication.

Minnie: Meg's best friend and was able to convince Meg to go to the party even though she really didn't want to. Meg: Protagonist of the story, best friend is Minnie and is one of the only people who know about Minnie's condition, was supposed to go to homecoming with T.J but turned him down the night before, she's a good writer, very observant, and does a good job of staying calm under pressure.
